What is Sentient Ports?

Sentient Ports is focused on solving complex sector issues through Collaborative Decision Making (CDM). A model that its CEO, Captain Allan Gray proudly implemented during his time at the Port of Halifax in Canada, where he established the PIER, Canada’s first living lab in the supply chain and interconnected port city. It is a platform for collaboration between supply chain partners, innovation eco-system organizations and all levels of government. Working closely with start-ups, SMEs and academia they solved some complex issues including supply chain optimisation, collaborative decision making and energy transition.

Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) provides a leader with the opportunity to engage at a different level internally and externally for the organization. CDM takes time and work to set the necessary environment but ultimately this will result in decisions that are optimum in nature and more collective.
